Warehouse Fire in South Philadelphia

A fire tore through a warehouse in South Philadelphia on February 22 of this year. The fire was reported around 4:30 in the morning. No one was injured in the fire, which occurred in a business on the 1400-Block of Darien in a warehouse used to store automobile parts.

Firefighters responded quickly, getting the fire under control in a matter of hours. Matt DeLucia of NBC Philadelphia reported that no one was evacuated. However, the streets surrounding the fire were blocked off by emergency responders for most of the day.

Crews from three different fire departments worked together to quell the flames of the one-alarm fire. Damage reports have still not been confirmed.

Investigations into the source of the fire are still ongoing.
